Critters That Rule the Night.

 Critters That Rule the Night.

Just in case any of you are unaware, Texas has a crop of critters that rule the night. It may be an owl, a bobcat, a coyote, a raccoon, or any number of other smaller critters that dabble in trash and troubles. If you have a cat or smaller dog, it is probably about the right size for a quick bobcat meal. Most cats can’t survive a big owl on a mission. Even the eagles that find the chicken carcasses in Arkansas to be good meals won’t usually try to eat dogs that are under 30 pounds, but they can certainly tear them up enough to kill them and leave them for the coyotes and bobcats. The reason for this mention tonight is the little poodle type dog that came to visit my dogs yesterday. It is now missing. We can hope it got back where it got out in the first place, but if not, you can almost bet it is history. Feel for the folks who lose pets this way, but know that realistically, even my big dogs would not stand a chance against a pack of coyotes or a big bobcat. That is why my dogs are in the house at night and the hens are fastened up in secure coops.

Noticed that Sandy Roberson asked if anyone could help make a ramp for the new neighbor girl. She has to get around in a wheelchair and needs a way into the modular home other than going up the steep stairs. Not sure who made one for her where they lived before, but maybe they should have tried to bring it with them. Know it is not cheap to build one of those things. However, Clint said that there is an organization called something like Ramps.inc that will build one for her, but the city of WF demands a permit for ramps. Clint said he was going to cover the permit, but it just horrifies me that we—as a city—are so money grubbing that we would demand something like a permit from someone who needs that kind of help!

Watching the news about the borders this evening is pretty scary. Something like 17,000 invaded down there this week—most were males from China, Africa, and other countries around the world. Nope, not thinking that these guys are here to do work that needs to be done. And it does absolutely no good to mention the fact that criminals, drug lords with their products, and diseases like smallpox and diphtheria are coming right along with them.

Then there are those pumps that are going to be pulling water soon to fill up the thousands of miles of tunnels under Gaza. May God bless the hostages and take them out quickly—one way or another. It is horrifying to think of what this means, but if it gets rid of the terrorists, then maybe it is the way to go.

Then there are the Nato countries that are ready to wipe Russia off the face of the earth because the Russians are not going to be satisfied with just invading the Ukraine. Finland is hiding their responsibility for giving Russia weapons, so they may be asking for their own brand of trouble. This reminds me so very much of the horrors that came about during WWII. Do those small countries think that they are immune to the terrorists?

Tonight, we may need to remind ourselves that if they come first for the Jews, can the Christians be far behind in the face of evil taking over this world? May we all be brave enough to stand up for our beliefs. May God give us protection, but let us have courage when freedom is threatened.

Rest well, my friends. You are loved.
