Leftovers.

 Leftovers.

Bought Chicken Express before the kids got ready to leave the other day and just this evening finished off the chicken tenders. Not bad for leftovers! Jennifer wanted some corn nuggets. Had no idea they even made such a thing. Might do to look up their menu someday. We usually just have tenders, fried okra, and the bread rolls or biscuits. My comfort food is mashed tators and gravy, so we always get at least a small container of that stuff. Not on my diet, but it doesn’t hurt to do that once in a while considering how seldom we have their food.

Talked to my cousin John today. He is still going for dialysis three days a week for three hours each time. He handles it so very well. But he had also been having some problems with his stomach and refused to go to the doctor until Wham just called the ambulance and did not give him any choice. He is a genuine stubborn Pollard. At least the doctor gave him something to get his “angry” stomach under control. Kinda necessary to have that piece of the body in good functioning order. [Are you listening, daughter?]

It really about makes me sick to see what is happening in Israel. Have hardly ever sent money to any emergency fund, but did today just because those folks thought they had enough emergency medical supplies to last a year. The supplies did not last a day! May God have mercy on His people and those who are in that country. What really stinks is that the U.S. has been supplying stuff to Iran and therefore to Hamas. Again, the politicians have kicked us and our allies in the hind legs. Sending a naval force may or may not have any influence, but it will definitely put our Navy in danger. And yes, am familiar with a couple of folks in our Navy. Jo Ann Hobbs has two grands in the Navy. At least we could send emergency supplies for those who have been injured. Think we still have a hospital ship at sea.

Moved some bricks and herded hens today, but otherwise did not get much accomplished. Well, prayers every other time my mind went there. Not just rain on my mind. Our brothers are being attacked. We cannot just sit still. It’s bad enough that we have been invaded, but again, we know who caused that situation. We also know that God allows certain things to happen. May He stomp all over the horrible beings who so cruelly torture and murder. Meanwhile, we have to accept that HE is in control.

May we have peace of mind and knowledge of His mercy. May He bless our families and friends.

Rest well, my friends. You are loved.
