Still AT It!

 Still AT It!

Cooked six pounds of venison hamburger this morning and put it in packages after it cooled. Put the turkey on in the oven and will have to wait until late(r) this evening to take it out to cool before it can be put back in the fridge. It’s always something. Yesterday the hens left fourteen eggs out there to be picked up. Three or four were dirty with mud on them, so they will stay here with me—maybe boiled eggs. Then another fourteen eggs today—two with mud! When the hens have dirty feet, it just invariably gets mud on the eggs. Oh well.

Kept hearing a motor that sounded a bit like an airplane. Not sure if it is called parasail or paraglide or whatever, but some nut is flying over the State Hospital property. Seems pretty windy for such things, but the old woman knows very little of flying. Just hope he does not run out of fuel or doesn’t get blown into an electric highline.

Clint spent some time this afternoon setting up the ring camera for me so that it would work on my wifi. He laughed and said that he was always tempted to set the siren part off whenever he saw me walking down to my truck. Told him he might have caused an old woman to have a warm water hemorrhage. Or worse yet, might have had to go pick her up out of the road!! Anyway, thought it was pretty sweet of him to leave the camera with me.

It has been a bit cool today, and between the weather and chasing a squirrel, Thompson is hurting rather badly. Clint suggested getting some turmeric-curcumin whatever for him. It is supposed to reduce swelling in joints. Hmm. Maybe it would work for an old woman?

Reading some more in the Revelation study by Lehman Straus. Got really puzzled about what he said about the angels having sung at the creation of the world, yet they called out praise at the birth of Christ—not in song! It seems that singing at creation was wonderful, but after Adam ruined his part in the plan, the angels did not sing again. They WILL sing again, but not yet. It is interesting to read what God said to Job: 38:4 Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? Declare, if thou hast understanding. 5 Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? Or who hath stretched the line upon it?6 Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? Or who laid the corner stone thereof; 8 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy? Now when Christ was born, Luke said it this way: Luke 2:13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace, good will toward men.

Little things matter in this life and in the life to come. Let us pray that others may have eyes to see, ears to hear, and minds to understand what God wants of us. It is through grace that we are saved, but it behooves us to try to run our race with determination and with the love we have been shown.

Rest well, my friends. You are loved.
