Preparations.

 Preparations.

Went to United this morning and got the first of the two shots required for shingles. Will take the next one sometime after February 8. Not sure just what the reasoning is, but from what the pharmacist told me, it may be one of those things where it might take a person that long to work up the courage to do it again! She said to be prepared for a major headache, fever, and feeling warped out by this one. Doesn’t that sound just lovely. But still, it is better than having shingles which can last the rest of your lifetime with nerve damage. Want my kids to all get this dadgummed shot before they come down with the shingles. Sterling has really had it bad. He can wear a shirt now, but it still hits him uncomfortably.

Cousin John just got out of the horse-pital. He had an aneurysm on his aorta that they were able to remove. That man has really been through the stuff this year! Dialysis three times a week is enough to get just about anyone, but he seems to handle it well.

Jacqui got the news from her scan today: it is NOT CANCER! Praise God!! Not sure what the little spots on her lungs are, but if she can live with whatever they are, then so be it. Just glad to think that she and Sterling will have more time (years) together.

Still praying for Tami Yonts and Rene, the granddaughter of Diann Dennis (an online rewilding friend). Tami is hoping to be declared cancer free. Little Rene is having chemo for cancer in her eyes. She is a beautiful little girl who is thoroughly loved by all in her family. She always has a precious smile. Anyway, Sterling was telling me today that on their prayer list at church, at least ten people are on the cancer list. May God heal this nation and whatever it is we are doing to ourselves to cause such illnesses!

Ok, let’s see about the weather: possibility of 25 to 100 feet of snow in Alaska tonight. Our high here in Texas might be 63 tomorrow with a 60% chance of showers—not rain, just showers. Around 7000 illegal aliens on their way to the Texas border again. These will include terrorists from assorted nations as well as gang bangers. They are “reusing” small children to appear as if they are families. Isn’t that just precious! Our campuses are covered with those who are in support of Hamas—a terrorist organization, as opposed to our friends in Israel. It figures. Nothing like having educated idiots coming up in society who get their education from TikTok. Argh!

Really would like to have a positive attitude tonight. Knowing that God has things in control helps considerably. Chewing on thoughts that bother me is not a good substitute for just drinking coffee and absorbing the fresh air and listening to the songs of my silly chickens. So glad that God made green grass! It may not make hay or otherwise produce anything edible for us, but the sight of green is just good for the soul of an old person. Let us be grateful for fresh air, breezes, and sweet critters.

Rest well, my friends. You are loved.
