Time to Rest.

 Time to Rest.

Some days are just better for rest than others. Today has been a rest day. Maybe something will get done around here tomorrow. Or not. Whatever. Let’s just say that the old woman does not want to try to think about much this evening. Suffice it to say that fatigue won before the tussle even began.

Sterling has been ill and had to go to the ER this morning. Maybe whatever is wrong will be healed quickly. My prayers are with him.

Connie Cooke came by for a visit and a catch up this afternoon. We exchanged laughs about the drama that seems to touch our lives every so often. But we also talked about the fact that the U.S. is now on a digital banking system as of today. Strange way that things become more and more systemized. Then there was the article about how Whole Foods and even Amazon Prime are going to the “palm” system. One puts a palm over a reader and it identifies you and finds your financial information and withdraws funds accordingly. Not exactly what might have been expected in prophecy, but close enough.

Meant to call my grandson and his girlfriend this afternoon and did not get it done. Maybe tomorrow. His mom sent pictures of the family in Jamaica. Have not seen Gary looking that skinny ever! Hope they enjoy this trip as much as they did the one in Key West years ago. And may they get home safely.

Have thoroughly enjoyed the cooler temperature today. Just wish my enjoyment had included a quick visit out front to water the plants, but just did not feel good enough to go out there and lug the hose around. Now that is the height of laziness! Tomorrow is another day.

Let us remember to be grateful for the freedoms we once enjoyed and pray that what our soldiers have always fought for will not be lost. Pray for our nation and for peace.

Rest well, my friends. You are loved.
