Gripes, Groans, and Assorted Grumpies.
Jenn found that she sat too long at her desk when she
worked here. At the office, she normally gets up and down quite often to take
something from one place to another or otherwise get out of her chair. Lance
has found that sitting in my office is pretty danged boring. Plus, nothing
works as fast on my internet service as what it does at their office. Anyway,
have a feeling both kids will be happy to go back to their own circumstances
and situations. Plus, they won’t have to referee any dog fusses. Lance just
mixed up two kinds of dog foods in their pans. Sylvia gave him one of those
famous “who do you think you are?” looks. She can distinguish between Royal Canin
and that other stuff without any problem whatsoever. He just stood there and
laughed at the fact that she could pick up two pieces and spit out the one she
did not want. His dog does the same thing and will NOT go back to clean out the
bowl. And we think our children were picky!
It was sleeting this morning, but then it thawed out and
just left some moisture on the ground. Nothing impressive about either the
amount of sleet or the resulting moisture. Praying that we actually get some spring
rains this year. It probably is already too late for the wheat crops. The economic
impact may be as much as three times trebled considering all the loss of crops
across Europe—especially across Russia and the Ukraine. So sad to think of all
those people having to leave their homes behind and try to find a place of
safety. God bless them and that which they have had to leave behind. Watching
or reading the news is just too sad for words. No words can ever replace the
loss of one’s memories and the lives they will have to leave. Truly wish that
we could listen to the words of Carl Sagan—this—this little pearl of blue—is the
ONLY home we have ever had or will ever have. Let us care for it and for each
other.
May your days be blessed with happiness and joy despite all
the woes of this world. Rest in His peace, my friends. You are loved.
