Family!
My daughter is back at her home; my sister-in-law stopped
by to pick up eggs and visit a bit before she goes home to prepare for her
daughter and family to visit; and my brother Sterling is on his way here to my
house. So, we shift around a couple of times and things seem to be doing ok.
Got my pep talk from Jennifer before she left, and then Anne gave me another
one on the way out the front door. And yes! The old woman is trying to be very
careful.
Sylvia jumped up on Anne despite being hollered at. Even
tapped her with my reacher/grabber tool to discourage the jumping stuff. She has
been SO good lately that it seemed she understood. Sigh
The hens have been laying like gangbusters, but so far
today only four eggs have shown up. Won’t gripe! They are doing so well and
staying healthy out there in all that dust and dirt. If we ever get rain, no
telling what it will be like out there. Might need a pig or two to dig out the
hens and root out the mud. Nah! No pigs, no cows, goats, sheep, turkeys, or
other assorted critters needed!
Really do not know anything worth telling. Going to go lie
down for a short nap before Sterling gets here. Wish it were not such a long
trip, but he makes it look easy. And in Jacqui’s car, he won’t use as much gas—especially
since it is lower to the ground and won’t be whipped as badly as his truck.
Jenn said the wind really picked up the MiniCooper on her way home. Would not
want to deal with Texas winds in either a big truck or a tiny car. Our winds
don’t mess around.
May all of you have a wonderful weekend—or at least the
rest of the weekend. Be happy for all the blessings we have been given and
enjoy life to the fullest. You are loved.
