God's Mercy!

 God’s Mercy!

Lamentations 3:22 The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. We used to sing this in a song during services years ago. Yesterday it was in my daily devotions and helped me remember something—salvation is assured. Timothy declared, “I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him for that day.”

We are assured that God’s faithfulness does not depend on our hold on God. HIS love never ends. Also, when God begins something in us, He finishes it! That does not mean that we will get everything we ask for, but we will be given what we need. Just think about that.

Visiting with a friend today and she reminded me that her granddaughter is waiting on another kidney. Hers were destroyed as a child when she caught some kind of virus in the daycare facility and the hospital poo poo-ed her illness. The dialysis began before she could hardly speak her name. And some of us think we have it rough!

Our world is in constant need of God’s help. Whether it is on the other side of the world, in South America, in some small island that can’t be free, or right in our back yard—God’s mercy is needed. And yes, we lost a fireman up in Fritch yesterday. He was not on the wildfire line, but who knows what happened when the stress of all the latest fires has taken its toll. Pray for his family and his community.

It is not easy some days to listen to the Mockingbird’s song. But that young bird is setting out the perimeter of his territory and singing his way to getting his mate ready to nest. It is my aim to smile at his songs and look for his dance in the tree top. God’s world goes on despite our worries and concerns. The worms make fodder underground, the birds find bugs to consume, the flowers push up from below to grace another day. Let us give thanks!

Thanked Trish at Pioneer today for her remarkable intervention the day our school group encountered a real sore head who tried to start a fight. That woman has courage and then some. She used her “mom voice” on that guy and got him to sit back down like the dipstick he was. Without her intervention, we might have had a true bang up shoot out. Whew!

Something is blooming outside that has my eyes feeling sticky and my nose itching. Yes, it smells good, but pollen doesn’t necessarily stink! But boy! It makes me miserable. When the pollen count is this high, some folks are better off inside away from spring’s beauty. Think a couple of three neighbors have this problem, too. Makes me want to smile really big and say, “Ain’t life grand!”

Rest well, my friends. You are loved.
