God Makes Miracles.

 God Makes Miracles.

Ok, tonight my nephew Danny Pollard is on my mind. His kidney function is less than 5% at this point. They did a biopsy today, so he is sore and tired while living in a hospital bed. His wife is with him, but Rachelle usually has to be with their son Jacob through all the tests and treatments he has had for the past few years. It pleases me that Carol Thonton calls him Jacob the Lion-Hearted. Well, Danny is a big man and about as sweet as a guy can get. He loves his family dearly and takes good care of them. But right now, we don’t know what is wrong with him that is causing this and need to know in order to get it repaired. Please pray for him, his wife, his family.

Ok, Zeke Ambrosius has had an MRI and the prognosis was not all that wonderful after all the seizures he had. At this point his parents are not willing to even talk about how bad the damage may be, but they want to learn to be able to help him and care for him with all their heart. Please pray for them. This can’t be easy.

Raye Louise is wearing a backpack with all her medications while she is in St. Jude’s and living in-patient and out-patient. Her parents are going through about what you would expect when a child has cancer in her eyes. She is about the most beautiful little thing ever with a precious smile. She is improving, for the most part, but will need prayers that the doctors will be able to save her vision. Yes, it seems as if this blog has become a list of those who need our prayers, but how can we possibly not use what God has given us to share His love.

In Texas, 85% of the state’s cattle are located in the Panhandle. Right now, multiple THOUSANDS of cattle, horses, goats, and other animals have been burned to death or will have to be euthanized because of severe injuries. Ranchers in that area are asking for Caterpillars or other large machines in order to bury the dead animals. Governor Abbott said that nothing is left except ashes where towns and ranches were before. Of all the horrible scenarios he has witnessed in our history, he has never seen anything as completely devastating as these fires. And the assessment of damages has not even hardly begun. Meanwhile, some of the fires are only 6% contained and are heading into Oklahoma and then back south depending on the changes in the wind. In my lifetime, my family survived a huge tornado here in WF back in ’79. It still gives me chills to hear the storm sirens blare. Then back in 2000, we had to grab our dog and cat and evacuate because a fire came through the south part of town into our yard and over pastures near us. We walked away from those disasters. Many did not. God has blessed and protected my family and home. Tonight, while we can ask for each family the same protection and blessings, let us bend out knees and remind our Father that we need Him more now than ever before. Hug your family, friends, and those who matter to you. Life is short.

Rest well, my friends. You are loved.
